Working at HQT

HQT hires practitioners. The people who scope the work perform it, and every position here works directly on systems that public agencies depend on. Team members work directly with the founders, help shape the engineering practices, and take on a broad range of technical work across public-sector engagements.

Before you apply

Some customer programs require fingerprint-based background screening under the CJIS Security Policy, and some require United States citizenship. Those requirements are named on each posting and confirmed before assignment, not at application.

HQT provides the pay scale for a position on request, and states it in any written offer.

Open positions 20

Twenty positions are open across engineering, software, data, security, and the corporate functions that keep public-sector work moving. Most roles are based in San Diego, California, with travel to customer sites in Southern California.
