Advisory and Corporate
Contracts Administrator
Administer public contracts from award through closeout, including flow-downs, amendments, and the obligations behind them.
Public contracts carry obligations that outlive the people who signed them: insurance, flow-downs, prevailing wage, records, and audit. This role administers that from award through closeout so HQT meets what it agreed to.
What you will do
- Administer contracts, purchase orders, and subcontracts with public agencies and prime contractors.
- Review terms and flag risk in insurance, indemnification, intellectual property, and data handling.
- Manage amendments, change orders, and the documentation that supports them.
- Track compliance obligations including insurance certificates, certifications, and reporting.
- Handle flow-down terms to subcontractors and confirm they are met.
- Maintain contract records to the standard an audit or a public records request will apply.
What we are looking for
- Three or more years in contract administration, preferably with public agencies.
- Working knowledge of public procurement terms and how they differ from commercial ones.
- Precision with dates, obligations, and documentation.
- Ability to read a contract and explain what it commits the company to.
- Discretion with confidential and competitively sensitive material.
- Comfort working with counsel where a question exceeds your authority.
Helpful to have
- Experience with federally funded procurement and its required clauses.
- Familiarity with prevailing wage and public works requirements.
- NCMA certification.
- Experience supporting a small business through certification applications.
