San Diego County
Technology and software services for public agencies throughout San Diego County.
San Diego County contains the county government itself, the City of San Diego, and a long list of incorporated cities from the coast to the inland valleys and the eastern back country. Around them sit water and wastewater agencies, fire protection districts, healthcare districts, school and community college districts, transit and port authorities, and regional joint powers agencies that deliver services across jurisdictional lines.
HQT is headquartered here. The technology work in this county spans the full range: a large city with its own utilities and public safety departments, mid-sized cities with small IT teams supporting everything from permitting to police records, and special districts with no in-house IT at all. The regional agencies add a further layer, since shared dispatch, shared water infrastructure, and regional transportation systems all require integration across member agencies with different policies.
